Let’s talk writing process. My writing process has varied for each book I’ve written so far. In the past, ideas, characters, or scenes have ignited my imagination and fueled my writing process. The process for my first book began with an idea—a famous TV chef visiting a small town and falling for…Well, you know the story. I created, or built, the story around that one idea.
While writing Maybe Someday, the first scene I wrote for the book was a rough rendering of the “grand romantic gesture” chapter. That chapter appears toward the end of the story despite being the first scene written. Inspiration struck after watching Pride and Prejudice (yes, it’s a favorite) one night, and I decided one of my male characters was destined to wear a pair of very vintage pants…

My new book, Wrapped Up in You, is coming soon! Wrapped Up in You is about a runaway bride who returns home for the holidays hoping for forgiveness from the man she left behind and a second chance at love. Filled with romance, suspense, steam and humor, Wrapped Up in You has a little something for everyone.
Hope you enjoy the blurb for Wrapped Up in You:
“A runaway bride returns home to the man she left behind in this suspenseful, second-chance romance.
Homesick and tired of running from her past, Callie Douglass returns home to Kentucky for the holidays determined to start over. She craves forgiveness and a second chance with the man she left behind, but tragic circumstances may prevent her from receiving those gifts this holiday season.
After a tragedy rocks his family, Bo Macklin wants peace and quiet this holiday season. A retired pro quarterback, Bo plans to wear his game face as long as it takes to convince Callie that he has moved on, but ignoring his feelings turns out to be more difficult than any game he ever played.
Wrapped up in a murder investigation and caught in the crosshairs of merry matchmakers, will Bo and Callie find their way back to each other, or will a murderer kill their second chance at happiness?”

Clyde and Zelda will NOT have a romance. Zelda's heart will always belong to John, and Clyde prefers to romance his Bingo Queen (and any other lovely lady who catches his eye).
These characters are such fun to write! I'm sure Clyde and Zelda will make appearances in upcoming Whiskey Valley Romances as well as the Mystery in Whiskey Valley spin-off series.💕
Whiskey Valley Romances can be read as stand-alone stories or read in series order for the full Whiskey Valley experience.💕📚

Can you imagine sexy Sheriff Jake Prescott as a...pastor? The character originated in an unpublished short story about a sassy reporter and a pastor who team up to solve a murder. Personally, I'm happy he made the move to Whiskey Valley as the local sheriff.
Aleigh K. Dean writes contemporary romance and romantic suspense featuring small-town charm, humor, happily-ever-afters, and as many quirky characters as she can create.
